How to scan STAR
- Log into Sky’s Latest Version.
- Click the Main Menu button, then the STAR button.
- Scan the STAR product to activate the binding process.
- Scan the STAR product again to use its feature.
- Click the SKY NFC TAG to confirm the use.

How do I use FSS scanner?
The D-Scanner is the FSS. Go to Analysis Mode and press the button assigned to D-Scaner – the FSS screen will activate. Then press D-Scanner button again to honk. Then use the bindings you have assigned to move around in the FSS view and “click” on the blue blobs to scan them.
Can you surface scan Stars?
Notes. The Detailed Surface Scanner cannot be used to map stars, even though the DSS interface can be activated while a star is targeted, as any probes fired at a star will simply vaporize from the intense heat. Stars can be analysed using the Discovery Scanner and Full Spectrum System Scanner.
What is a star scanner?
A spacecraft instrument that scans the sky for known bright stars in order to control where the vehicle is pointing. On-board software systems use this to determine the orientation. When stars are not visible enough, the scanner can be set for guidance by its gyroscopes.
What is FSS mode?
It is activated after switching to Analysis Mode and conducting an initial scan of a star system using the Discovery Scanner to identify all astronomical objects and signal sources. The FSS Scanner is then used to map and obtain detailed data about each identified location.
How do I scan elite?
You hold the fire button down with the scanner equipped, and it will scan the system so you can see planets, stars, on the system map as well as giving you some info on the system.
How do I use the surface scanner on my ring?
Locating a Hotspot first requires locating a Planetary Ring System using the Discovery Scanner and Full Spectrum System Scanner, then traveling to it in Supercruise. When close enough to the rings, the Detailed Surface Scanner can be activated to probe the rings.
Can you code a Mercedes?
For the coding and diagnosis of Mercedes vehicles, a piece of hardware, a so-called multiplexer, is required to connect the workshop computer to the vehicle. The usual variants are the C3 and the SDconnect C4. The Star Diagnostic Software (see below) is almost impossible to obtain legally for end customers.
