Another way to find your IP for others to connect to, is to make a simple file I learned from a friend.

If you are connecting to the server on the same pc your server is running on, the ip “localhost” should work, but only for you. You may need to port forward to allow connections from other routers to your pc. Don’t worry, I had to do ipconfig and use the Ipv4 or whatever to get it. Thanks for the help anyway!
Are there any network ports open by default?
Closed 2 years ago. I’m a network administrator at a small residential college. Right now our firewall is set to have all network ports open by default, with a few exceptions. Unfortunately, bittorrent traffic has grown to the point where it kills our gateway server and I have no choice but to block it (I really would prefer not to).
